Lesson overview

Going a bit too far on your diaphragm pulse can create a great effect. You can use this effect to create a stronger beat in your playing

Lesson goals

• Know the limit of your didgeridoo so you can controllably diaphragm pulse to blow out the drone sound
• Be able to pulse to keep the drone, and pulse to blow out the drone

Training tips

• Start with a gentle pulse, gradually increase the strength until the pulse breaks the drone sound
• It may be difficult to blow out the drone on didgeridoos that have high backpressure
• Every didge will play differently, experiment to get familiar with yours
