A lot of people don't realise that we have a fully stocked didgeridoo shop in Fremantle, WA and that we also sell didgeridoos online and ship worldwide!
Click play on the video below to see some of the antics at the shop or visit us at http://www.didgeridoobreath.com – special thanks to the guys from Photography Project for the production of this vid too!
You may have noticed this already, we added a search box on the left hand side of the site to help with finding content. The search won't be able to access the pid lessons but there's still plenty of content it can rifle through to help you find what you're looking for.
This is still an experimental feature, if you'd tried it and have any feedback we'd love to hear it – drop us an email on the contact us page or in the comments section below.
If you're on the Didge Breath Doonews mailing list you would have heard about this already – we've recently added a new free section to the Dojo, a comprehensive Didgeridoo Buyers Guide!
If you want to sign up for the Didgeridoo Breath Doonews mailouts, head to the DidgeridooBreath.com homepage and enter your email address in the signup box about halfway down the page on the left-hand side.
In this new video series, Ben runs through all the different elements to consider when buying a didgeridoo including some considerations for buying your second and third didge so its definitely not just for beginners!
Check it out at the link below or click play on the video above to see what to look for when buying your first didgeridoo.

In case you haven't noticed, our shop's site, Didgeridoo Breath is getting a makeover.
We’re working on making it easier to pick out what you want. We’re adding better categories on the main page, and making it easier for you to navigate around and generally just freshening things up.
There’s still some wet paint around as we’re finalising the updates but its still all business as usual and orders are shipping as normal.
If you’ve any questions or something is out of whack make sure you head to the Contact Us page and drop us a line. In the meantime, here’s a mockup of what the finished product will look like:
We've been getting heaps of emails lately asking about Didge Dojo so we figured we may as well put up a blog post with some of our stats and Dojo fun facts, here goes:
on average about 7000 or so people visit Didge Dojo each month, 60% of those people have never been to the site before! (most come back 2-3 times a month)
~10% of visitors use an ipad
~10% of visitors accessing from some other form of mobile device (not ipad)
roughly 20% of visitors are from Australia (this one surprised us, we thought there would be a higher percentage of Australian's)
there are now nearly 8000 Didge Dojo users (yeah this one surprised us too!)
each month we stream 8000-10000 full lesson videos (this figure doesn't include half plays or where you rewind the video, only where the video plays until the last 5 seconds). With an average lesson length of 6.5 minutes this means in a single month we now give 50-65,000 minutes of Didgeridoo lessons or 800-1000 hours. Can you imagine if we did that many lessons in group workshops!
the top 3 internet browsers Didge Dojo users access the site on are Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer (in that order)
each month we have people from over 100 countries visit the site, in Feb 2013 had visitors from 116 countries. Some of the more unusual countries include Iraq, Iceland, Jordan, Panama, Guam and Bangladesh
In this video Sanshi demonstrates how he cleans his didgeridoo. Its a question we get asked lot because after a while your didgeridoo can get quite stinky. Its easy and just takes a few minutes.

Matt & Tony's world famous Playing the Didgeridoo series is now available as a download in iTunes – a great resource to compliment your Didgeridoo Dojo training.
Check it out…our new didgeridoo beatboxing lessons with the legendary Nathan Kaye are now live!
Nathan is a real character and over the last several years has perfected the craft of beatboxing, not just with his mouth but using the didgeridoo as an additional tool to enhance the sound.
In our new lesson series you can follow Nathan as he takes you through 11 beatboxing lessons as well as 3 creative rhythm timing lessons and 2 breathing exercises.
Nathan has been performing and teaching workshops for a number of years and like Sanshi, has the uncanny ability to break down something complex like beatboxing into simple to follow steps.
Accessing the new Beatboxing Lessons
There are 16 lessons in total in the beatboxing lessons series, the first three are available free of charge over on the beatboxing lessons page.
Adding a simple percussion instrument to your didgeridoo playing will add a whole new dimension to your sound. In this lesson, Sanshi shows you the first steps in playing with an egg shaker
Lesson goals
Get comfortable with shaking the egg shaker to keep an even rhythm
Be able to accent the main beat in the egg shaker sound
Play the didgeridoo rhythm “dida (B) dida (B)” while keeping the rhythm on your shaker
Training tips
This is a new co-ordination so it’s ok if it feels very difficult to begin with
Be sure to practice just with the shaker to get comfortable before adding your didgeridoo playing
Keep your arm really relaxed to make shaking easier and feel more comfortable
Experiment with the speed of the playing & shaking to find what speed feels to easiest to practice
Try and lock into the accented beat. Focus matching up your didgeridoo timing with the main beats
We've just added another premium lesson to the Free Didgeridoo Lessons section of the Didge Wiki. In this lesson, Sanshi shows you how to play didgeridoo with a percussion eggshaker – its also a great lesson about percussion with eggshakers in general.
We posted this video a while back on the Didgeridoo Breath Facebook page. If you're interested in beatboxing on the didgeridoo then this is vid is a good place to start:

Hey gang, if you haven't seen the update on Facebook we've just migrated the site over to a new server hosting platform (as of yesterday).
The migration brings with it a fair more stable platform for the system to run on (we were averaging 6-10 hours per month of downtime on the old platform) and significantly increased performance which will finally allow us to implement a bunch of features we have in the pipeline.
Please let us know if anything is behaving weirdly or not as it should be – email [email protected]with any feedback, queries or quirks you may be experiencing.
“This is a really great section of lessons! It is like sitting with the masters and listening to them chat about didgeridoo secrets!” Jason, Norway
There's a new category in the members area called “Practice Tips”.
This section is dedicated to those golden little bits of advice that you pick up when sitting down chatting to didge players.
Videos will range from practice tips, sitting position, playing style, musical influences… anything that is going to benefit those learning how to play the didgeridoo.
The Practice Tips section will be ever expanding and will include ideas, advice and tips from experienced and passionate didgeridoo players.
Hey Dojo members, just letting you know we have added new and exciting didgeridoo lessons to the intermediate and advanced lessons areas.

Double rhythms
Wouldn’t it be great to have an endless supply of didgeridoo rhythms to keep you motivated and inspired? Problem solved! Follow this simple formula and you will be able to create your own long and intricate didgeridoo rhythms using the techniques you already know
Vocalising your bounce breath
Ever heard a didge player pump out rapid vocal calls and thought… where are they breathing?! This technique allows you to do a punchy vocal pop and take a breath at the same time. Sweet!
Widt da
This is a clever little tongue technique that works on stopping the drone briefly. It is great for creating punchy fast rhythms. This lesson shows you the technique and we give you a funky rhythm to practice it
You can visit the What's New page in the members area for quick access to the lessons
