Lesson overview

Now we are in the intermediate lessons, it’s time to set the bar high for your drone quality. From this point on, we want your drone clear and super sharp. This can take practice and discipline. Having a high quality drone sets the foundation for all the new techniques you are about to learn

Lesson goals

  • No more fuzzy drone
  • Use the Mona Lisa smile technique to get the sharpest drone possible
  • Be able to identify when your drone is clear and when it’s a bit fuzzy
  • Be committed to only playing with your clearest drone

Training tips

  • The more you practice, the clearer your drone will be
  • The smallest of adjustments in your lip tightness, position and air flow can make a huge difference in how your drone sounds. Keep experimenting to find what works best for you
  • You may find that your drone starts off sounding good, but then gets fuzzier the longer you play. This is because your lips get tired and weak and can’t hold the tight vibration as well. The only solution is to play more and build up your lip strength. It’s like doing pushups… the more you do, the stronger the muscles get.
