In this lesson, Koji will share a technique on a didgeridoo using 7 beats.

Lesson goals

  • Be able to produce a 7 beats rhythm on a didgeridoo

Training tips

  • Practice the 7 beats without the didgeridoo: dong – dong – bi – dong – bi – dong – bi
  • Practice producing the sound on a didgeridoo following the beat 3, 2, 2
  • Keep practicing the rhythm faster
  • You can also add the “Tuwaki” technique and practice the beat first without the didgeridoo
  • Try mixing the rhythms to create variations using 7 beats
  • Keep practicing on a didgeridoo
